To whom it may concern:

I contacted Avalon Medical Rejuvenation spa regarding Laser Hair Removal. I spoke with Victoria regarding the procedures and finance options. She advised they were currently running a package deal and advised of the finance options. I provided permission to open a "care" account thru GE Money bank, an open line of credit to be used at any time.

I needed further consultation before I could have the procedure done- I have a lip piercing in the area to be treated and needed to know if it would have to come out or what problems might result, and Victoria was not able to answer those questions; she advised only the certified nurse who would be doing the procedure could answer the questions (and wheather they would interfere with the ability to have it done) and she would not be available until the day of the appointment.

When I met with the Certified nurse she advised A) That the piercing would need to come out and that scarring and swelling could occur at the site regardless B) that I would need to stay out of the sun during the entire course of the treatment, about 6 months. We decided collectively that it was best not to go forward on the services at this time as I wasn't prepared to lose my piercing, wasn't sure how I felt about the possible scarring, and had several vacations planned out in the sun during the summer. She advised against it and indicated that if I wanted to go forward it was best done during winter for my situation.

Before I left the office that day, I advised the nurse and the front office girl that I might charged; they assured me they do not charge for consultations and that I would have no bill.

I have received a bill from CareCredit/GE Money bank in the amount of $510.00. I immediately called to Avalon and spoke with the office manager, who advised that there are no refunds despite that fact that no services were rendered on the advise of their employed certified nurse.

I would NOT recommend this place for your cosmetic needs- It seems common sense that if no services were rendered, no charges should be accured. However, given their reluctance to set things straight, I can only come to the conclusion of faulty business practices.
